If you search for “get application version in .NET” or similar, a lot of answers come back telling you to call System.Reflection.Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly() – but this gives you the assembly containing the code that is currently running, which may or may not be the application.
A good friend and editor gave me a copy of the Elements of Fiction Writing series. I’m certain it was just a friendly gesture, and not a critique. Well, mostly certain.
Anyway, I’m finally getting around to reading it, and it is extremely helpful.
It remains to be seen if the tips and techniques will improve my fiction writing, as I have had no time to apply them – but I expect that they will.
